內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介Increased demands upon the performance and sequence life of the steel making tundish has driven many changes to the tundish design in the past three decades. A great number of changes, and certainly the most visible, have been seen in the sacrificial or wear lining in the tundish. These variations have allowed the tundish to be utilised as a final stage refining vessel rather than simply as an intermediate transfer vessel between the steel ladle and the continuous casting mould. The need for cost efficiencies from the tundish has created the demand for longer in-service sequence life capability and predictable and superior performance from the tundish lining and other refractory components within the tundish. This paper will outline the progression of tundish lining developments and detail the practices associated with the most recent tundish lining technologies and associated refractory materials.
